DigitAL Brand GUIDELINES
WEBSITE BUILD
Evernow were evolving from an HRT provider for women experiencing menopause to an all inclusive menopause care platform and knowledge base - backed by science and focused on giving women the information they needed to understand the symptoms they were experiencing.
They were finishing a branding exercise and needed to figure out how to apply those guidelines digitally, and design a website that matched their message and ambitions.
We began with a series of strategy and UX sessions to understand Evernow’s USP and how to communicate their ambitions through their new website - balancing science, care and knowledge.
It was vital we carried that learning through UI design and build, to leave the variety of stakeholders (product, marketing, clinical) on the Evernow team comfortable with, and proud of, their new website.
In a competitive marketplace it was crucial that we didn’t under or over complicate the message through misguided design and didn’t fall into cliched representations of the problems and solutions through “on the nose” iconography and photography.
To convey the hard-to-pin-down experience of menopause, we chose graphic elements based on a circular geometry that winds its way through a composition.
We worked with Evernow’s internal team and their external photography agency to generate a library of photos focused on creating a connection with the user through a combination of direct to camera and candid snaps.
Lifestyle, care, wellness, medical - Menopause products can sit across all of these areas. For Evernow, it was important to stress the scientific basis of their approach, while not putting users off. Information and knowledge was a core part of their offering and needed to be represented in bite size chunks across the website to help them emphasize their authority and obviously (as website's kinda have to) convert visitors to customers.
We designed and built an easy to use component system that the Evernow team could take forward to grow their site over the next five years.
Alongside the templated approach for on-going management, Evernow had a specific need for a one-off design for their scientific research that could be updated to reflect the latest data but remain impactful and engaging for users and media outlets. We mixed our GFX, UX and UI skills together to pull off this web and print piece.
