WEBSITE BUILD
Kueski came to us with a solid design in place, but they needed more than just "build". They wanted a scalable website that could handle growth, while also enhancing the user experience and adding key functionality to support their merchant library and other integrations.
While Kueski had their designs ready, they did not have a design system in place or a creative director. We added our experience to the mix to guide their capable young team to creating an impressive experience that would last.
With design handled, we had a number of technical challenges to tackle. How to create and manage a searchable catalogue of the ever-changing merchants using their payment system and deliver top-class images of those client's offerings? Alongside the build we completed a number of POCs using third party services until we had the right recipes for the Kueski team.
We built a reusable component system to ensure consistency and make future updates easy, allowing Kueski’s design team to scale the website without constant redesigns.
Using Algolia we created a custom search and filter system for Kueski’s directory of merchants, making it easy for users to quickly find the businesses they were looking for by name, type and category. We also added logic to handle cases where merchant information was missing—with automated fallbacks—so the directory always looks complete and user-friendly.
Kueski were getting merchant logos and cover images in a variety of formats and quality. Using Cloudinary we created a special recipe that could handle multiple image types and resolutions and spit out a high quality lock up that could be retrieved by the front end search function.
Kueski's target market was young and fun, and they had the designs to match. We added our magic touch with animations to up the "fun factor" and really add that element of surprise and delight to mark them out in the formal Mexican banking market.
Working direct with their development team we tackled a complex Salesforce integration to manage data behind the scenes. Using an iterative approach across timezones we ran a bespoke test suite with them to ensure they were comfortable that a key piece of work was working in the way they needed it to.
We had fun working with the Kueski team, and they obviously did too. A year later they returned to task us with a site migration for one of their other services. A less complicated project, but a good sign that they were more than pleased with our work. Gracias equipo Kueski.
